Description:
The Nurse (RN ) is responsible for providing direct nursing and personal care required to the resident, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, and support in all activities of daily living that ensures the health, welfare, and safety of all residents of the facility.
Essential Duties:
- Monitoring residents' condition and assessing their needs to provide the best possible treatment and care.
- Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the physician.
- Perform routine charting duties as required & in accordance with established charting & documentation policies & procedures.
- Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved Nursing program
- Must possess a current license to practice as a RN
- Must be eligible to work in LTC per the NYS HCS guidelines
