Job Details
- Position: Medical Assistant
- Location: Tampa, FL
- Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
- Pay: $15–$19 per hour
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma required
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience
- Current hands-on BLS certification
- Current TB test
- Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and rehabilitation services
- Assist providers with patient assessments, procedures, and follow-up care
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as needed
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Monitor and stock exam rooms, treatment areas, and medical supplies

- Strong patient care and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient information
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
