The Shipping and Receiving Organizer prepares products for shipment and receives material.
The Shipping and Receiving Organizer is expected to:
· Stock products accurately with supporting documentation
· Prepare shipments according company and customer requirements with 100% accuracy
· Process all incoming orders within 1 business day.
· Ensure all incoming order paperwork is accurate after processing
Shipping
· Ensures that product is packed, labeled and placed into the finished goods inventory for immediate or future shipment.
· Scans into Inventory Finished Good with warehouse location noted.
· Selects the proper product and quantity for shipment.
· Follows Job Book for each customer unique shipping instructions.
· Matches " Packing Slip " against the product assembled for shipment to ensure correctness of shipment and labels with customers address.
· Maintains a clean and orderly packaging and shipping area.
· Contacts production or customer service about shipment inquiries.
· May band and wrap skids.
· Operates forklift, assists with movement of material within the warehouse and loads and unloads company trucks.
Receiving
· Receives all material and other items into the warehouse. Stores and processes items for shipment within the company and to outside vendors.
· Receives all materials from outside and Internal production locations. Checks and verifies items for correct quantities, correct paper work and physical appearance.
· Prepares documentation and moves items into proper shipping location. (Uses scanning to move into proper Inventory locations). Turns over paperwork to Receiving Administrator and notifies Purchasing that items are ready to ship to vendors.
· Receives all non-inventory items and marks them with the recipient’s name and sends the items for distribution to the recipient.
· Prepares items for shipment to outside vendors attaching correct paperwork and creates bill of lading.
This position has no talent management responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION
· None
TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Fork lift operating experience is strongly preferred
· Basic computer skills

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to taste or smell.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the job, the employee is required to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
While performing this Job, the employee is regularly required to demonstrate strong manual and spatial dexterity
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
