We have recently partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company, and are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Batch Tech to join the team. The Batch Tech plays a key role in supporting the production of high-quality nutraceutical and wellness products that meet pharmaceutical-grade standards. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring all components of the gummy production line; including kettles, depositors, and cooling tunnels. You’ll ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards, including cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Master Batch Records (MBRs).

Shifts: 1st 6:00am- 2:30pm 2nd 2:00pm- 10:30pm 3rd 10:00pm-6:30am

Pay rate: 1st $19/hr 2nd $20/hr 3rd $20.50/hr

*Flexibility for Orientation which will start at 8am

Long Term

Batch Tech Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and weigh raw materials in accordance with Manufacturing Batch Records (MBRs).
  • Operate all equipment on the gummy manufacturing line, including mixing tanks, kettles, depositors, and cooling tunnels.
  • Closely monitor the cooking and blending processes, with a focus on pH and Brix levels to ensure proper consistency and quality.
  • Conduct in-process checks and visually inspect for defects or non-conformities.
  • Spread raw material on drying trays and ensure proper product flow through the entire line.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment and production areas according to SOPs.
  • Operate and maintain the tray washing machine and related support equipment.
  • Complete and verify accurate documentation of batch records, labels, logbooks, and raw material usage.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions, efficient operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all quality standards during each stage of the production process.
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods (up to 90% of the shift) and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing (preferably food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages and perform standard operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with production machinery is a plus.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with cGMP or FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Prior experience working with gelatin or pectin-based products.
  • Knowledge of pH and Brix measurement tools.
