Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with at least 18 months of recent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 to 17:30
- Performs intraoperative nursing care for surgical patients
- Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests completed during orientation with two attempts allowed
- BCI/FBI background checks must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
- Modules must be completed pre-start and annually as required by specialty
- PAPRs not accepted as alternatives for caregivers with facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemption
- Orientation includes on-site badging and fingerprinting prior to start
- Assignments cannot exceed 18 consecutive months with a mandatory 6-month break following, unless an extension is approved
- Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility policy

- Active OH RN or compact license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Operating Room RN experience required
- Current certifications must be fully active with nothing pending
- One reference from a supervisor or manager in the Operating Room specialty required
- Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return for 1 year from previous end date
- Negative 10 panel drug and nicotine (cotinine) screen required within 12 months of start
