Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ICU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A critical care nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years in an ICU setting. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic 16-bed mixed medical ICU, caring for adult and geriatric patients with trauma, neurosurgery, and medical conditions. Nurses will provide care with a patient ratio of 2:1 and float to cardiac and stroke units with a maximum ratio of 3:1. You will utilize EPIC EMR and have the support of remote and on-unit telemetry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU setting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage complex and critical conditions
  • Monitor and document patient progress using EPIC EMR
  • Float to other regional medical facilities within the area as needed, with advance notice
  • Adhere to facility protocols and internal call-off policies

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Ability to wear navy blue scrub colors per facility guidelines
  • TCAR certification completed prior to start date
  • Comfortable floating to cardiac and stroke units as required

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend requirement: 6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • Flexible with float assignments in nearby hospitals

Additional Details:

  • 13-week contract with biweekly start dates
  • Adherence to call-off policy requiring availability for alternative scheduling on weekends and holidays
