Golf Car Mechanic

We are a well-established company looking to hire immediately. We have been in business for over 30 years. We Sell, Rent, and Service all brands of golf cars, UTVs/Side X Sides, industrial equipment gas, and electric.

  • Pay starts at $20 per hour and up - depending on experience

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:30 am- 5 pm *Occasional Weekend’s
  • Applicants must have their own transportation. Applicant must be drug-free, have a clear background, and have a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Requirements:
  • MUST have experience being a small engine mechanic/technician
  • 2+ years’ experience in mechanical engine diagnoses and repair
  • 1+ years’ experience in electrical diagnoses and repairs or an Electrical Degree
  • Provide necessary tools for job completion
  • Can perform the job with minimal supervision
  • Qualifications:
  • • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
  • • Ability to work with minimum supervision. Applicant must be a self-starter!
  • • Must be able to multitask
  • • Must be motivated, organized, and deadline oriented.
  • • Basic computer skills for parts lookup and troubleshooting.
  • • Must be a team player that is proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Job Duties:
  • Perform job duties of mechanic like, preventative maintenance services on company vehicles as well as golf cars and UTV/Side X Sides. Assembling/disassembling, performing basic tune-ups, discharging and/or replacing batteries, etc.
    • Parts of preventative maintenance services:
      • Properly filling out work orders and preventative maintenance sheets
        • Perform lube, oil ,and oil filter change
        • Check the conditions of battery/batteries
        • Test drive car for drivability issues
        • Check and adjust brakes
        • Replace fuel filters
        • Replace sparkplugs
        • Check and adjust tire psi
        • Overall safety inspection of car
    • Mount and dismount tires using a tire machine as well as on vehicles
    • Replace belts
    • Basic to advanced electrical work
      • i.e., replace light bulbs and fuses, install light kits
      • Reading wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
      • Repair and diagnose electric motors
      • Diagnose and replace motor controllers
      • Diagnose and repair battery chargers
      • Repair any electrical issues on car i.e.: potentiometer, armatures, speed sensors, harness, etc.
    • Upholstery work
      • i.e., recover seats, replace foam
    • Assist other techs in various tasks and projects assigned
    • Diagnose and repair basic to advanced engine and transmission problems
      • i.e., carburetors, adjust valves, oil leaks, ignition coils
      • Perform engine overhauls
      • Rebuild rear ends
      • Rebuild transmissions
    • Diagnose and repair suspension components
      • i.e., bearings, shocks, springs, bushings, and steering rack
    • Diagnose and repair basic drivetrain issues
      • i.e., primary, and secondary clutches, transmission linkages, belts
    • Use computer software to diagnose carts and make adjustments as needed
    • Perform alignments on carts
    • Perform repairs and services on company equipment
      • i.e., trucks, trailers, forklifts
    • Add custom accessories to carts
      • i.e.: lift kits, radios, turn signal, etc.
    • Some fabrication and welding will be required
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous standing, walking, pushing, pulling, crawling, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting 75 lbs. or more.
