Position Overview

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Work Location: Muskegon, Michigan

  • Specialization: Pulmonary

  • Team Composition: 6 Physicians & 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

  • Facility: Level 2 Trauma Center

  • On-Call Duties: None

Responsibilities of the APP

  • Inpatient Care:

    • Conduct rounds on pulmonary patients in both hospital and ICU settings, collaborate with physicians, document progress notes, and manage treatment plans/orders.

  • Outpatient Care:

    • Follow-up visits and acute care for hospital patients

    • Conduct patient assessments and provide education

    • Coordinate care and manage chronic diseases

  • Weekend Coverage: 1:5 rotation

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in Pulmonology, Hospital Medicine, Cardiology, or Critical Care, though new graduates are welcome.

  • APPs: Must be board certified in their specialty prior to starting.

  • Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).

  • DEA license required.

  • BLS certification (must be kept current).
