Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least two years of experience, open to first-timers in this particular role. This contract position is based in Norman, OK, offering a structured 4x10-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates must hold ARRT-R certification and BLS credentials, with ARRT advanced certification preferred. Experience with Epic system is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, chest tube placement, ERCP, gastrostomy tube placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, stent placement, carotid angiography, discogram, embolization, and vertebroplasty.
- Collaborate with the radiology team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including mask fit testing requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience in interventional radiology.
- ARRT-R certification and BLS mandatory; ARRT advanced preferred.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system.
- Willingness to participate in call rotation (one night per week) and weekend rotation (one weekend every 4-5 weeks).
- Ability and readiness to comply with necessary mask fit testing protocols (shaving is mandatory for mask seal compliance).
