Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for managing all materials within the shop, including the handling of shipping and receiving products. This role involves tracking and receiving incoming shipments from vendors, as well as processing incoming customer returns. The Material Handler also prepares, packages, and processes all outgoing shipments to customers. Additionally, this position requires loading and unloading vehicles as necessary and distributing materials to the shop floor based on job requirements.

Essential Duties:

  1. Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception.
  2. Collaborate with the VP of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures.
  3. Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as needed.
  4. Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts handled.
  5. Work with Quality Auditors, the Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  6. Meet all key performance indicators.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in material handling, shipping, and/or receiving is preferred but not required.
  • Consideration may be given to a current employee to train into the position at the discretion of the V.P. of Production
