Location: Natomas / North Sacramento
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 base salary + commission
OTE: $75,000 - $80,000+ annually (uncapped earning potential)
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a highly motivated Business Developer to drive new client growth in the Natomas/North Sacramento market. This full-time role focuses on new business development through consultative selling, relationship building, and consistent sales activity. The ideal candidate is dependable, goal-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-based sales environment.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business by prospecting, qualifying leads, and meeting with decision-makers
- Secure a minimum of two new client accounts per week
- Conduct a combination of phone and in-person sales calls (approximately 120 weekly)
- Schedule and attend face-to-face meetings and sales appointments
- Develop and negotiate client contract terms
- Build and manage a Top 20 prospect list with tailored sales action plans
- Prepare and deliver client presentations and proposals
- Maintain accurate documentation of all sales activity in the CRM system
- Collaborate daily with recruiting and inside teams to ensure client needs are met
- Promote Express services using a Total Client Care sales approach
- Participate in networking events, community outreach, and local marketing initiatives
- Stay compliant with employment laws, Express guidelines, and internal sales processes
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, business development, or B2B sales preferred
- Strong communication, listening, and consultative selling skills
- Comfortable engaging with professionals at all organizational levels
- Highly organized with strong time management and territory planning skills
- Self-motivated, persistent, and results-driven
- Ability to travel locally and maintain a valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent required
