Associate Dentist- Start Your Career in a Thriving Private Practice

Location: Mount Carmel, IL

Status: Full Time (4–5 days per week)

Compensation & Benefits: $200,000–$350,000

$1,000/Day Guarantee | Mentorship | Partnership Opportunity

Why You’ll Love Working Here

If you’re about to graduate or just stepping into your career, this is the kind of opportunity most new dentists wish they could find. This is a second-generation private practice with over 40 years of history in the Mount Carmel community. Led by Dr. Bryce Miller, the practice is built on a foundation of quality dentistry, genuine patient relationships, and a team that actually enjoys coming to work. The culture here is relaxed, supportive, and focused on doing great work without the politics or drama you hear about at other offices.

The practice runs eight operatories with a team of four assistants, four hygienists, and three business team members. As an associate, you’ll have your own dedicated space with two ops, a lab, and sterilization, so it truly feels like your own mini practice within the practice. You’ll also have shared hygienists consistently feeding you, patients. The systems here are designed to let you focus on clinical care without worrying about the operational side.

This is a rare setup for a new graduate. You’ll have the freedom to practice independently, but Dr. Miller is right there whenever you want to bounce ideas, talk through a treatment plan, or get guidance on a case. He’ll mentor you in crown and bridge, scanning, treatment planning, and building the kind of patient communication skills that turn a good dentist into a great one. The goal isn’t to micromanage you. It’s to build your confidence so you can grow into the provider you want to be.

The practice collects over $2 million annually, averages 27+ new patients per month, and has over 4,000 active patients on the books. It’s growing, and there is plenty of work to keep you busy from day one. You’ll walk into a full schedule, not an empty chair. There is also a clear path to partnership within two to three years for the right person, which means you’re not just filling a seat. You’re building toward something.

Mount Carmel is a tight-knit community where your work genuinely matters, and people remember your name. The cost of living is low, the pace of life is comfortable, and you're still close to everything. Evansville is just 35 miles away, and many doctors actually live there and commute in for the best of both worlds. Louisville, Indianapolis, and St. Louis are all about two hours out, making day trips and weekend getaways easy. If you're looking for a place where you can put down roots, build real relationships with your patients, and still have access to city life whenever you want it, this is a great fit.

Our Core Values

  • Quality Dentistry, Every Time: In a small community, your reputation is everything. We take pride in delivering work that lasts and earns trust. Every crown, every composite, every treatment plan reflects who we are as providers.

  • Ready to Work: Our team shows up early, stays focused, and supports each other without being asked. When someone needs a hand, people step in. Great results come from people who bring their best every day.

  • Keep It Fun: We work hard, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The team is down-to-earth, easy to get along with, and genuinely enjoys spending the day together. A relaxed atmosphere makes better dentistry possible.

  • Efficiency Without Shortcuts: We keep things moving with smart systems, clear communication, and a team that knows how to stay on pace without cutting corners on care.

  • Growth is the Standard: We invest in continuing education and expect everyone on the team to keep learning. You'll work with the same advanced technology you'd find in any top urban practice, including a CBCT, Medit and Trios intraoral scanners, a Glidewell IO mill for same-day crowns, a 3D printer, and a Hahn Guided Implant System. Being rural doesn't mean being behind.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality restorative and general dentistry with a focus on lasting results.

  • Develop and present comprehensive, quadrant-based treatment plans to patients.

  • Build genuine relationships with patients in a community where trust and communication matter.

  • Collaborate with Dr. Miller on implant cases while expanding your clinical skill set.

  • Work independently with your own dedicated operatories, supported by a trained clinical team.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $1,000/day guarantee for the first six months

  • 30–35% of adjusted production

  • CE allowance

  • Relocation Bonus

  • 401(k) with 4% match

  • Free dental care for you and your immediate family

  • Path to partnership within 2–3 years

  • Modern technology: CBCT, Medit & Trios scanners, Glidewell IO Mill, 3D printer, Hahn Guided Implant System, Diode Laser

Why This Job Stands Out

  • You won’t be guessing your way through your first year. Dr. Miller has been in your shoes, and he’s committed to building your confidence through hands-on mentorship in crown and bridge, treatment planning, and patient communication. This isn’t a sink-or-swim situation. It’s a genuine investment in your growth.

  • The compensation is designed to help a new grad succeed. A $1,000/day guarantee for the first six months gives you financial stability while you build your patient base, and 30–35% of adjusted production rewards you as you grow. Add in a relocation bonus, health stipend, and 401(k) match, and this is a package that takes care of you from the start.

  • With over 4,000 active patients and 27+ new patients walking in the door each month, you'll be busy from day one. You won't sit around waiting for your schedule to fill. The patient demand is already there, the systems are in place to keep things running smoothly, and you'll be working with technology that matches anything in a major metro, including same-day crown capability, CBCT imaging, intraoral scanners, and a 3D printer.

  • The team culture here is low-drama and high-energy. Everyone is down-to-earth, hungry to learn, and genuinely supportive. The assistants and hygienists have been around long enough to know the systems, but young enough to keep things fun. You’ll actually enjoy the people you work with.

  • This isn’t just a first job. There’s a clear path to partnership within two to three years. You’d be joining a practice that’s already collecting over $2 million a year and continues to grow. For a new grad thinking long term, this is the kind of opportunity that sets up the rest of your career.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone who is:

  • Eager to learn and open to mentorship, with a genuine desire to grow their clinical skills and confidence in a supportive environment.

  • A strong communicator who can connect with patients, explain treatment clearly, and build trust in a close-knit community.

  • Comfortable with bread-and-butter restorative dentistry and motivated to keep improving their margins, composites, and crown work.

  • Positive and optimistic, someone who brings good energy to the team and doesn’t get caught up in negativity or drama.

  • Interested in growing into areas like cosmetics, dentures, sleep dentistry, or pediatric care as their career develops.

  • Looking to settle in and build something long-term, not just pass through on the way to somewhere else.
