About the Role
As our Activity Director, you’ll play a vital role in developing and coordinating programs that foster growth, creativity, and connection for individuals with intellectual disabilities. With your leadership and innovative ideas, you’ll ensure every activity is purposeful, inclusive, and tailored to the unique needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily activities and events that promote personal development, social interaction, and enjoyment.
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to develop programs that align with the needs and interests of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed to ensure continued engagement and success.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Lead and inspire a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs.
- Manage activity schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need: - 5 years of experience in an activity planning, program coordination, or a related field. - Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple programs and priorities. - Creativity and enthusiasm for designing activities that are engaging and meaningful. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with individuals, families, and team members. - A deep commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and promoting their independence and well-being.
