Sushi Sake Boynton is preparing to open its doors soon, and we are looking for friendly, professional, and guest-focused Hosts/Hostesses to join our opening team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a brand-new restaurant while joining the growing Sushi Sake family.

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to manage a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional hospitality from the moment guests arrive.

Selected candidates may be required to complete training at our Sushi Sake Boca location prior to the Boynton Beach opening to learn our reservation systems, service standards, and guest experience expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Manage the restaurant entrance and create a positive first impression.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and provide accurate information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies.
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments using the restaurant's reservation system.
  • Coordinate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient table flow.
  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus when appropriate.
  • Communicate table availability and guest needs to the service team.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with general questions and reservation requests.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entry area.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and assist with resolving concerns in a professional manner.
  • Support opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Follow all company policies, service standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous host, hostess, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong commitment to hospitality.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
