Job Description
Manage the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring the timely and accurate assembly, packaging, and distribution of electrical products. Supervise and coach production staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure material availability and minimize downtime. Monitor and improve production efficiency, quality control, and workflow processes. Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards while utilizing ERP systems (SAP) to track production metrics, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to support process improvements.
- Develop and implement operational efficiencies, quality improvement, and productivity improvement systems.
- Coach, train, and teach all employees to promote a healthy culture.
Essential Skills
- 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in wire cutting.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and team-building skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools (SAP).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Quality control, production scheduling, project management.
- Experience in wire production, inventory control.
- Ability to lead, coach, and manage teams.
- Ability to implement change and new processes.

Work Environment
Work on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supervising around 20 people. The team includes roughly 150 personnel overall. The environment focuses on manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and safety, with opportunities for continuous improvement and quality assurance.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
Competitive salary between $80,000 – $100,000
