A well-established company in Katy, TX is hiring an Accounting Clerk for a full-time day shift opportunity. We are seeking candidates with recent accounting support experience who have worked with expense reports, reconciliations, deposits, and financial recordkeeping in a professional office environment.
This is not a general administrative or customer service role. Candidates should have direct experience supporting accounting or finance functions.
Pay and Schedule
- Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift: Day shift
- Location: Katy, TX
- Status: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Process corporate credit card transactions and organize supporting receipts
- Review, code, and process employee expense reports
- Maintain petty cash records, check logs, and daily deposits
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Support customer deposits and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with prepaid expense tracking and account reconciliations
- Help with revenue reporting and other accounting support tasks
- Set up vendors and maintain customer portal information
- Support year-end audit preparation and reporting requests
- Maintain organized accounting files and records
- Perform additional accounting and administrative support duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent accounting or accounting support experience required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Accounting degree preferred
- Experience with expense reports, reconciliations, deposits, and financial records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- SAP experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly
