American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit position in Louisville, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

- Work in a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting
- Two cardiovascular units totaling 31 beds (CVU with 16 beds and CVI with 15 beds) providing intermediate care for cardiac surgery patients from pre-op through discharge
- Patient population includes cardiac surgery patients, pre/post-cardiac intervention patients (PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants, TAVR), and patients with atypical chest pain requiring monitoring
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Requirements\n

- Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Previous nursing experience preferred

- Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, treatment implementation, patient and family education, and discharge coordination
- Delegates tasks to and oversees team members in the performance of patient care activities
- Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing
- Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration
