About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to join our team! This role is central to the success of our Estimating Department, serving as the key point of coordination and support for all bidding activities. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Estimating Department
  • Research and track new bid opportunities
  • Maintain and update the bid list and bid calendar daily
  • Organize and manage proposal folders, including all updates and addenda
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Solicit pricing from subcontractors and ensure participation from MBE, WMBE, and DVBE firms
  • Assist in preparing project estimates, RFPs, and budgets
  • Support Estimators with quantity takeoffs and technical analysis
  • Complete prequalification questionnaires and other project-specific documentation
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as document preparation, copying, and filing
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5 years in the construction industry, preferably with a General Contractor or Subcontractor
  • Skills & Qualifications:
    • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/takeoff software)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Self-starter with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
    • Familiarity with construction terminology and documentation
    • Proficient typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines
