Position Overview:
As a Part-Time Phlebotomist at Better Life Carolinas, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for drawing blood samples for lab work, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining proper documentation and lab procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture (blood draws) on patients of all ages with a focus on comfort and accuracy
- Label and process blood samples for laboratory testing
- Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy area
- Assist with patient preparation and provide reassurance throughout the process
- Record and update patient information in the clinic’s electronic medical records
- Adhere to all health and safety standards and protocols, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions
- Assist with additional tasks as needed within the clinic (e.g., inventory, lab coordination)
Qualifications:
- Certification in Phlebotomy (required)
- Previous experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably in a medical or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of blood collection techniques and laboratory procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
