Job Description:
- The Logistics Material Handler role will perform a wide variety of tasks related to the incoming, expediting, and outgoing of program and facility materials and equipment.
- Responsibilities:These tasks will include but are not limited to: Receiving, picking, and shipping orders.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Packaging, kitting, and transportation.
- Use of material handling equipment to include screw guns, strapping machines, etc.
- Working overtime as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Requirements:Obtain forklift certification.
- Able to lift 28 lbs.
- Computer skills to include data entry of received materials, entering shipping information, etc.
- Working in a warehouse, facility or other environment that requires attention to safety regulations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Desired Skills:Knowledge of the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS)
- Knowledge of PRISM
- Experience working in a logistics environment.
- Education:Typically requires a high school diploma or associate degree and a minimum of two years relevant experience.
