About The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior/SR. Tax Associate to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering top-tier tax consulting and compliance services to a broad range of clients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration in Torrance, CA. As a Tax Senior/Supervisor, you'll work closely with clients across various industries while leading and mentoring junior staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax returns for a variety of entities, including partnerships, C-corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while identifying opportunities to reduce tax liabilities through effective planning strategies.
  • Conduct tax research and assist clients with complex tax issues, including international tax matters involving foreign entity ownership by U.S. individuals.
  • Provide support during tax audits and prepare responses to notices from tax authorities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating their needs and delivering practical, actionable solutions.
  • Manage, train, and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance on client projects.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple engagements, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA license preferred or actively pursuing).
  • 2-6 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations, including individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
  • Familiarity with international tax considerations, especially regarding U.S. ownership of foreign entities, is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with QuickBooks and ProSystems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites and work overtime as needed during peak seasons.
