Job Description:
The registered nurse (RN) in the ER Float Pool will provide care across multiple facilities within Zone 4, which includes Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine- Dodge City, and St. Catherine- Garden City. The RN is responsible for administering medical care in emergency settings and performing tasks required for a variety of emergency medical situations, with floating responsibilities within the designated zone.
Responsibilities:
- Administer standard ER medications and treatments.
- Perform Point of Care lab testing as trained.
- Float to different hospitals within the specified zone as required.
- Participate in ER triage and patient care activities.
- Support the unit with secretarial duties and assist nurses on the floor.
- Read and interpret telemetry as needed.
Requirements:
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
- Ability to float throughout Zone 4 within a 60-mile radius of Garden City, KS.
- Experience in emergency care settings.
- Proficiency in interpreting telemetry and emergency response.
