Basic Function:
Process payroll, cash disbursements, cash receipts and perform accounting functions.
Essential Functions:
1. Processes payroll and subsequent reports and journal entries.
2. Prepares miscellaneous deposits for Operating Account. Electronically deposit all checks. Prepares deposits from local clinics.
3. Processes checks and ACH’s.
4. Prepare standard month end journal entries.
5. Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts as assigned.
6. Preparation and control of transfers.
7. Follows CHC policy to receive supplies and equipment for administration. Contacts vendors and rectifies order shortages/overages, returns, etc for administration. Oversees office supply orders as outlined in CHC policy.
8. Calculate provider hospital and in-clinic incentives.
9. Files tax-exempt request and other annual reports as required.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to perform each essential function duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
2. Associate degree in accounting or finance or closely related field from an accredited school or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge and experience with PC based and automated accounting systems is required.
3. Ability to work with Physicians, Mid-Level Providers, Clinical Support Staff, Administrative staff and Front Office Staff.
4. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Flexibility in handling a variety of related job assignments and responsibilities. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Ability to work under stress.
5. Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
6. Possess a valid Driver’s License.
7. Ability to read, write and speak English.
8. Good interpersonal and human relations skills are required. Must possess skills to empathize and care for a variety of patients, including low-income and diverse cultures and treat everyone (internal and external customers) with respect and dignity.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times in all situations and follow the laws and intent of the most current HIPAA laws and regulations and Canyonlands’ security and privacy policies.
