We are hiring a Co-Lead Pre-K Teacher for The Goddard School located in Collegeville, PA (across from the Providence Town Center!) We're looking for a passionate, experienced, and energetic Co-Lead Teacher to join our advanced Pre-K classroom (primarily for students who don't meet the public school age cutoff). In this role, you'll work with a team of 2 other teachers to develop developmentally appropriate lessons that are a balance of Pre-K and Kindergarten concepts. The ideal candidate would have some experience working in a preschool setting or as a Kindergarten aid and have an understanding of how children learn in a play-based environment. In this co-lead role, you'll guide daily activities, support child development, assess progress, and collaborate with a warm, dedicated team of additional teachers! Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred (or desire to get)
- 2-4 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
- Can work collaboratively with others (team player)
- Enjoys working with positive, like-minded people who are passionate about education
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Curriculum & Instruction:
- Create and implement flexible, age-appropriate lesson plans using Goddards curriculum.
- Inspire a love of learning through hands-on, engaging activities.
- Observe and assess student development, adapting lessons using real-time data.
Classroom Management:
- Build a safe, welcoming, and child-centered classroom environment.
- Manage daily routines smoothly and use positive guidance for behavior.
Family Communication:
- Keep families informed through daily updates and conferences.
- Foster strong parent partnerships and encourage involvement.
Health & Safety:
- Maintain a clean, safe learning space; follow all safety protocols.
- Supervise children at all timesindoors and outdoors.
Professional Growth:
- Engage in ongoing training and stay current on best practices.
- Collaborate with teammates to support a strong school community.
