DCFS-Licensed Home Daycare looking for an early childhood educator to substitute for maternity leave

Job begins January 5, 2026 and ends March 6, 2026, with the option to work one day per week starting now through December until full-time schedule begins in January.

Responsibilities include:

Caring for a group of six 4-year-old children

Leading and implementing lesson plans

Creating lesson plans that target the four developmental domains

Constructing weekly arts and crafts

Helping with meal times and providing meal-prep

Qualifications:

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields

Passionate about working with children

Ability to build rapport with children

Positive and patient demeanor

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Background check and current medical examination required

Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm

$25/Hour with paid lunch-hour and paid hour lesson plan time

Leads to substitute opportunities after maternity leave as needed
