Position Summary

The Production Associate is responsible for cleaning, sorting, and packaging fresh produce in accordance with line leader and department supervisor instructions. This role ensures that all products meet quality and food safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Production Associate supports overall production goals and works collaboratively with supervisors and team members to maintain efficiency and product quality.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Sort, grade, clean, and prepare produce products according to size, weight, color, or other specifications
• Package products accurately in produce bags, trays, or other containers
• Follow line leader and supervisor instructions to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized workstations at all times
• Identify and report production issues to supervisors and assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems
• Follow all company food safety and general safety procedures, including GMPs and SOPs
• Work collaboratively with production team members to meet production goals
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a clean and organized manner
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with quality and accuracy of product
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Prior experience in produce, perishable goods, or food production preferred
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (approximately 50+ degrees)
• Ability to stand, walk, and reach outward continuously throughout the shift

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently
• Perform repetitive motions including sorting, grading, and packaging produce
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Schedule

• Production shifts are Monday – Friday
• Full-time employees work five shifts per week
• Schedule may vary based on production needs
