Position Title: Claims Consultant

Reports to: Business Development and Staffing Manager

Location: Nashville, TN (position is subject to change)

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt


Position Summary: : Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Claims Consultant to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Nashville, TN. The location for this position is subject to change. This position is contingent upon contract award.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze construction claims and disputes involving delays, changed conditions, disruptions, and cost overruns in support of USACE projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive claim evaluations, including entitlement analysis, time impact analysis, cost validation, and negotiation support.
  • Review and interpret construction contracts, specifications, change orders, and project correspondence to determine merit and defensibility of claims.
  • Provide expert advice to the Government on claims mitigation strategies and assist in the preparation of Contracting Officer’s Final Decisions (COFDs).
  • Collaborate with construction management staff, legal advisors, and project controls personnel to ensure accurate and defensible documentation of claim issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.

This position requires passing an extensive background check.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction claims analysis, preferably on federal or USACE projects.
  • Proven expertise with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and knowledge of the USACE acquisition process.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claim analysis tools (e.g., Primavera, AACE-recommended techniques).
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
