Let's talk! LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a well-established healthcare organization for a contract-to-hire Patient Registration Specialist opportunity located in the Asheville, NC area!
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and update patient demographics, insurance details, and co-pays; verify charges and collect balances during check-out.
- Schedule appointments efficiently based on patient needs and provider availability, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, answering phones, and managing messages with professionalism and accuracy.
- Resolve Epic work queues, correct billing errors, and ensure accurate charge capture and claims processing in collaboration with coders and revenue cycle teams.
- Address patient and staff inquiries, analyze denials, and ensure insurance data accuracy to support timely reimbursement.
- Actively participate in team meetings, share feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical office setting required.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior working experience with Epic and medical terminology required.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM M-Th & 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM Fri
Job Type: Contract-to-hire
Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
