Payroll Processor
Pride Health is hiring a Payroll Processor for one of its clients in New York.
This is an 8-week contract with a possible extension, with competitive pay and benefits.
· Job Title: Payroll Processor
· Pay range: $28 - $32 an Hour on a W2
· Location: Jamaica, NY - 11432.
· Duration: 8 weeks of contract (Possibility of an extension)
· Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 35 hours/week - Every other Friday: Flexible shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM). 1-hour lunch
· Work Type: Onsite
Job Summary
The Payroll Processor is responsible for accurately processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. This role supports payroll operations, garnishment processing, benefits deductions, audits, and employee payroll inquiries.
Job Duties
· Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
· Manage wage garnishments, payroll transfers, and benefits deductions.
· Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
· Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end payroll activities.
· Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
· Support payroll and accounting-related projects as needed.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience.
· Experience with payroll taxes, garnishments, and payroll audits.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Experience with payroll systems such as Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, ADP, QuickBooks, PayChoice, or Payroll Associates preferred.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· FPC or CPP certification preferred.
