Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to serve two elementary schools in Hartford, CT. This role offers a contract through the full semester, starting ASAP and continuing through June 9, 2026. The position requires providing speech therapy services within inclusive classrooms that support a range of disability categories, excluding specialized classroom settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language pathology services to elementary school students across two sites within the district (specific locations to be determined)
- Collaborating with school staff and families to support students' communication needs
- Maintaining accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and IEP development
- Adhering to Connecticut licensing and district fingerprinting/background check requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CF) candidates
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted for this position
- Prior school-based experience is mandatory
- Ability to work onsite full time with hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, 35 hours per week
