Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
  • Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Follows Plan of Care as established by Physical Therapist and immediately reports any changes in status.
  • Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines.
  • Verifies Plan of Care prior to each visit and provides care according to physicians orders and standards.
  • Instructs patients and families in the appropriate use of prosthetic, orthotic and assistive devices.
  • Prepares and instructs therapy home programs for patients and caregivers.
  • Work may involve handling, lifting, and transfer of patients, as well as irregular hours if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
  • Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
  • 6+ months of experience as a PTA preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within branch/office coverage area (up to 50%).
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
  • Able to lift 50100 lbs and meet physical demands of the role.
