Salary:
Jemicy School, which educates talented and bright college-bound students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences, is seeking an outstanding, experienced educator to assume a full-time teaching position in its Upper School Science Department for the 2024-2025 school year. This position involves teaching multiple sections of biology as well as some health classes. Applicants should be highly creative, passionate, and dynamic education professionals able to create curriculum with ease, meet the needs of individual students, and utilize multisensory instructional techniques to support a broad range of student learning styles.
A bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a closely related field with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal skills, and be committed to developing successful learners who will be prepared for careers of the 21st century.
