ChemStation in Wichita, KS is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative in Western Kansas to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and driving sales growth in your assigned territory. The territory is a 3.5-hour radius in Western Kansas and candidates should live within the territory. Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, and Liberal are the preferred areas.

You will act as the face of our company, promoting our products, services, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Customer Relationship Management

  • Understand customer needs and recommend solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Handle inquiries, negotiate pricing, and close deals effectively.

Market Research & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM software.
  • Provide feedback to the sales & operation team and management on customer needs and competitive insights.

Administrative & Logistics Support

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, expense reports, and forecasts on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and conferences to promote the company's products/services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Chemical Sales and Support Required

  • 3+ years in outside chemical sales to the industrial, construction, aircraft, food, and beverage industries preferred.
  • Antimicrobial and sanitation chemicals in food processing preferred
  • Any experience in food processing or operations a plus!

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Communication:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively.

Negotiation Skills:

  • Ability to close deals and handle objections confidently.

Time Management:

  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and territory management skills.

Technology:

  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and mobile sales tools.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required. An insurable valid driver's license is necessary.
