Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Coordinator / Construction Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, ideally with some experience in power and environmental energy projects. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to execute multiple small projects and lead the company's estimating efforts to support project execution and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management, and a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

Project Execution: Manage and oversee the execution of multiple small construction projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

Estimating Leadership: Lead the company's estimating efforts, including the preparation of accurate and competitive project bids and proposals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to develop comprehensive project estimates and budgets.

Business Development Support: Support the company's business development initiatives by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients and industry partners, and participating in networking events and industry conferences.

Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring that all parties adhere to contractual obligations and requirements. Monitor project progress and performance to identify and address any issues or deviations from the contract terms.

Quality Assurance and Safety: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-control measures as needed. Provide regular updates and reports on project financial performance to senior management.

Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support the professional development and growth of team members through training, coaching, and performance feedback.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management required.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on project management and estimating.

Experience in power and environmental energy projects preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead project teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices.
