As a Public Relations Specialist at XTalk Prep, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans to promote our company's initiatives, services, and brand. You'll cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure positive coverage and enhance our reputation. Additionally, you'll monitor media coverage, respond to inquiries, and coordinate public relations activities to effectively convey our message to the public.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance XTalk Prep's brand image and reputation.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
- Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials.
- Monitor media coverage and social media channels for mentions of XTalk Prep and relevant industry topics.
- Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews and press conferences.
- Plan and execute events, sponsorships, and other PR initiatives to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience in public relations, communications, or media relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with media monitoring tools.
