The Sunshine Center Preschool is searching for an experienced Early Childhood Educator who has expertise working with children who have developmental or physical disabilities.

Our preschool provides care for children ages 3-6 years old and we are in need of someone who has experience working with children in a range of developmental or physical disabilities. This person would not only have teacher qualifications, but may also have specialized training or certifications/experience dealing with children who are on the autism spectrum, be delayed speakers, or have physical limitations.

We are enrolled in the Preschool For All program in Multnomah County and there is an increased need for Early Childhood Educators who can assist with students who may have challenges in these areas. Currently our school has 4 students with IEP's and receive support from MECP. We would like someone on staff who can assist with the Individual Educational Plans and build curriculum for these students. An ability to work alongside our MECP specialists as well as build relationships with the parents of these children is highly desired.

*The role does include working with children who are on IEPs AND traditional curriculum plans.
*The role will involve creating emmergent curriculum for all students, but an understanding of making modifications for those who need additional support.
*The role does include support from a Teachers Aide and a maximum capacity of 11 students.
