Site Superintendent / Electrical Field Project Manager
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for assisting field service lead with managing human and material resources to optimize efficiency of a field team to complete data center commissioning and related activities. The superintendent maintains milestones, ensures documentation is completed, and upholds communication with construction managers, clients and IEM management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support Field Service Lead in managing schedules and putting technicians in most optimal place to support team goals related to commissioning of electrical equipment at data center sites.
- Review customer schedules and effectively communicate required staffing and resources to maintain customer schedules.
- Track and ensure timely delivery of documents and correspondence with regards data center commissioning
- Identify and flag potential delays, assisting leads and managers to head off project impediments.
- Track milestones and assist team lead and technicians to meet critical deliverables.
- Ensure jobsite supplies, parts, current paperwork, etc. are available when needed.
- Deliver equipment between sites as needed to keep team productive with minimal downtime.
- Attend commissioning meetings, track punch lists, help resolve any issues that come up.
- Assuming all other duties are met, assist with normal commissioning work to expedite project completion.
- Report into lead if any techs are not needed or if additional techs are needed to complete tasks at assigned sites.
- Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- On-site project management experience working on construction sites
- 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills related to scheduling and customer expectations
- Related experience in the Power Industry preferred
TRAVEL:
- This position requires up to 15% travel. Occasionally travel is outside local area and overnight.
