Job Description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. (HSP) is looking to hire a Medical Coder in San Diego, CA. The Medical coder should have knowledgeable in all aspects related to medical coding and billing and must be up to date with the latest changes in rules, guidelines and policies from CMS, AMA and DHCS .
This position is contracted until 12/31/2023 with potential of renewal.
Pay Rate: $25/hr

Job Description:
Knowledgeable about all work related to medical coding and billing, including all changes in rules, guidelines and policies from CMS, AMA and DHCS.
Knowledgeable of the process myriad of completed encounter form, superbills, including DOTs (Direct Observe Therapy) for completeness and accuracy.
Know how to assist field crew in obtaining insurance information for client and if not insured walk them through the process.
Know how to assist clinic and field staff on verification of eligibility and accurate demographics information to help solve any discrepancies..
Being able to guide field crew in solving clients medical information and needs to be able to continue treatment.
Know how to communicate updates on new rules, guidelines and policies on coding and billing.
Knowledgeable about how to Audit all encounters forms, superbills for accuracy and completeness of demographic information, medical procedures, and diagnosis codes.
Know how to communicate to clinic and field crew any updates, correction, on guidelines and requirements for processing claims for reimbursement.
Responsible for updating encounter/superbill to be in line with latest changes to medical documentation, coding, and billing.
