STUDIO OVERVIEW
Serasana means “To Be Healthy”, and our mission is to create a community of hope and healing. Serasana Littleton is a Wellness Center that fuses ancient wellness practices, specializing in stress and pain management, by encouraging regular use of acupuncture, yoga, massage, healing tea and remedies.
We are looking for a Yoga Instructor to join our Littleton team. Our environment is unique--we have a beautiful tea bar and a thoughtful retail selection that supports our clients on their wellness journey. We have seven treatment rooms offering massage, acoustic sound therapy, facials, and acupuncture with additional space to offer group acupuncture several days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the Serasana model of health and wellness, and work together with fellow team members to help our clients take full advantage of available offerings
- Understanding that frequent requests for subs for your classes results in unhappy students.
- Create safe and effective yoga sequences for the style of yoga taught, prepare the room, greet clients, ensure clients registered correctly, and instruct asana verbally and through appropriate physical demonstration
- Stay and answer questions after class, make announcements, promote workshops, sell retail and straighten room before leaving, which includes folding blankets, rolling straps, sweeping studio and sanitizing rented mats
- Provide mobile device with class playlist
- Assist in building participants through marketing activities
- Monitor clients and modify their poses using verbal cues, physical demonstration or lastly hands-on adjustments, to maximize their potential and avoid injury
QUALIFICATION
- Experience teaching at minimum 20 group classes
- Great compassion and communication skills, advanced knowledge of yoga, basic knowledge of acupuncture, massage, and tea
- Comfortable communicating with clients and announcing upcoming events and studio specials
- A minimum of 200 hours of formal yoga training, preferably a Yoga Alliance Certification
- Current personal liability insurance as yoga instructor
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to physically demonstrate any asana included in your sequence
- Live a tobacco-free lifestyle
- Report to work free of any adverse effects of drugs or alcohol

COMPENSATION
$30 as a new teacher to the studio. Increases after a period of time, based on class attendance, consistency in teaching and longevity to studio.
