Description:

The team at Affiliated Monitoring protects millions of people by monitoring their security alarm and medical alert systems. Our team currently has an opening for an Instructional Design Manager at our Union, NJ headquarters with a hybrid work schedule, working three days in office and two days at home. The Instructional Design Manager will work in our Learning and Development team along with various stakeholders to develop and evolve our new hire curriculum, various up-training modules, and programs. This role involves creating interactive e-learning courses and videos using Articulate 360. Extensive knowledge of Articulate 360 and previous experience working as an instructional designer is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing Articulate 360 to create e-learning videos and interactive courses
  • Manage the successful execution of instructional and learning design strategies in our course development
  • Research new and innovative instructional design, gamification, and technology practices
  • Create interactive training solutions to communicate customer and agent impacting information
  • Design courses, facilitator guides, and e-learning content
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for facilitators who will ultimately deliver the content to learners.
  • Ensure content accuracy by partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders as needed
  • Proactively manage post training evaluation processes.
  • Partner with our Quality Assurance team and SMEs to identify knowledge gaps or improvement areas for newly certified specialists
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives from scope to evaluation in closed-loop process
  • Take ownership of our LMS and ensure it is being used effectively

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Must have extensive knowledge of Articulate 360, including utilizing triggers to create interactive e-learning and videos
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Powerpoint, Canva, Pow-Toon
  • Experience working as an instructional designer in a non-school, corporate environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and proven application of learner-centered, performance-based instructional techniques, tools and methodologies
  • Possess an expert knowledge around Adult Learning Theories and working with today’s multigenerational workforce
  • Ability to manage, publish, report within an LMS platform
  • Demonstrated ability to probe stakeholders to vet, challenge training requirements and expected post-training outcomes
  • Ability to develop and coach team members
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Instructional Design, Business Management, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • At least 2 years of instructional design experience in a corporate environment (non-school classroom)
  • At least 1 year of management experience working with creative design and development teams
