Salary:
WWCM has an opening for an experienced Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will be responsible for supporting cyberpsychology initiatives involving the impacts of human factors, cognitive vulnerabilities and the ability to adequately protect critical systems and sensitive information from cyber-attacks. Data serves to facilitate and support improved future-state software design, development and implementation methods.
Responsibilities:
- Studies data to answer research questions and solve problems
- Collects, cleans, manages and analyzes data
- Designs algorithms, uses programming languages and creates data visualizations
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to improve business outcomes
- Identify and mine reliable internal and external data sources
- Design custom tools to optimize data mining, cleaning, validation and analysis tasks
- Develop and apply custom data models and algorithms to data sets
- Develop tools and testing models to ensure data accuracy
- Create and present reports that detail your findings, recommendations and solutions
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
- Requires skills in programming, data mining, big data analytics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the scientific industry
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, math, statistics, physics, biology, chemistry or electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, SQL
- 5 years using platforms such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, R, SAS
- Experience with business intelligence and data analytics tools such as Tableau
- Proficient technical writing and public speaking skills
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and when they should be used
- Familiarity with statistical and data mining techniques and when it is appropriate to use them
- Strong problem-solving skills
Desired:
- Masters or PhD degree in data science, computer science, math, statistics, physics, biology, chemistry or electrical engineering
- Strong math, modeling, statistics, analytical and problem-solving skill sets
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile and Software Development frameworks
