In home job position with mentorship. 

Compensation is based on work experience.

Required Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal communication.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children birth - 3 years of age is preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in homes.
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy accredited by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Knowledge of normal child development/milestones birth to three-year-old.
  • California OT License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases.
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods.
  • Spanish speaking beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work involves developmental screening/assessment (ex: Bayley 4, DAYC-2, Sensory Profile, etc.) occupational therapy services, initial evaluations creating initial goals, discharge reports, consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
  • Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
  • Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed.
  • Prepares progress reports at six month intervals.
  • Analyze the best exercises and activities to help the patient reach goals.
  • Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines through provided program.
  • Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.
