Job Title: Fitness/ Aerobics Instructor
Location: El Segundo, CA
Duties:
- Demonstrate or explain how to perform various exercises and routines to minimize injuries and improve fitness;
- Watch clients do exercises to ensure that they are using the correct techniques;
- Provide alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill;
- Monitor client progress and adapt programs as needed;
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations on sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment;
- Give clients information or resources about nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues.
- Give emergency first aid if needed.
- Shall promptly notify Fitness Center Staff at the front desk of any broken or improperly functioning equipment and/or unclean or unsafe conditions encountered before, during, or after any exercise session.
- Shall provide a draft monthly training calendar to Fitness Center Fitness Coordinator no later than eight (8) business days in advance of the month classes will be provided.
- Shall provide virtual classes if there is a shutdown of the Government’s facilities for one week or longer.
Education & Qualifications:
- Must provide proof of a group exercise instructor certification from an accredited health/fitness organization.
