We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing comprehensive information security solutions to protect our organization's data assets. As a Computer Security Specialist, you will work closely with our IT team and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving our security posture, ensuring that our data remains safe and secure at all times.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to potential threats
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying areas of weakness and making recommendations for improvement
- Design and implement security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and data encryption
- Educate employees on information security best practices and policies
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security technologies and threats, keeping our organization informed and prepared
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that their security practices align with our organization's security standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in information security
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, and PCI-DSS
- Experience with security tools, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms and security considerations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and CEH are a plus
