Job Description

Salary:

The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent on assigned projects. This employee will be responsible for the oversight of most major aspects of construction work, including the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers, planning for costs, and supporting the project on various tasks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.
  • Generate Requests for Information (RFI) and submittals.
  • Assist in bid analysis, constructability reviews, and permit processing.
  • Inspect all work to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Offer technical information to project supervision to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintain a general understanding of project budget.
  • Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis, provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to project supervision as appropriate.
  • Assist in planning and organizing construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Assist in project punch list and closeout documentation.
  • Observe and comply with all applicable OSHA Safety Regulations on each worksite.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors and relay information to project management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities.
