The Hampton Inn West Des Moines/Lake Drive is looking for a full-time, Front Office Manager to manage the front desk staff and provide excellent customer service to guests.

$750 sign-on bonus paid out at 2, 4, and 6 months of employment!

The Job

A typical day for the Front Office Manager includes hiring, training, and scheduling front desk staff. You would be checking in and checking out guests as they arrive and depart. The Front Office Manager acts as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.

Job Duties Include:

  • Hire, train, and manage front desk staff.
  • Schedule front desk staff according to business demands.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
  • Use computer system to make reservations, check-in and check-out hotel guests, and process payments.
  • Promptly handle guest service requests and guest complaints to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Answer and direct all external incoming telephone calls using professional telephone etiquette.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all hotel and area events and activities so that guests will receive accurate and prompt information when requested.
  • Ensure guest and hotel safety by knowing all safety, security and emergency procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, according to hotel guidelines.
  • Post room service charges, settle tickets, complete employee financial and closes day procedures.
  • Fill in for Night Auditor, Breakfast Attendant, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Front Desk as needed.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
