Job Description

First Choice Health Centers is looking for a Pediatrician to join our center and provide high quality care to our pediatric patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, as well as collaborating with other specialists and staff. You will also have the opportunity to participate in education activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.

This position is located in Manchester, CT.

Experience and Training:

  • A valid MD degree and board certification in Pediatrics
  • A valid license to practice medicine in the state
  • A valid controlled substance license and DEA license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to work with the underserved population
  • A commitment to ethical and professional standards
  • BLS Certification

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care from birth to early adulthood to promote wellness and preventive care as well as health maintenance and prevention of disease
  • Specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments and track patients' growth through to adulthood
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic examinations to get essential data of the patient's medical condition
  • Creating treatment plans for children with chronic conditions.
  • Providing immunizations and other preventative care.
  • Educating parents and caregivers on child development, nutrition, and other health-related topic
  • Act as primary consultant on all pediatric cases referred by other staff providers
