WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Performing work as a team member in firefighting, fire prevention, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), emergency and non-emergency services, rescue work, etc.
- Participates in public relations (PR) education, events and/or programs
- Maintains and cleans LFD apparatus, buildings, equipment, and grounds; and daily duties as directed by department policy, procedures, and operating guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma (or equivalent)
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
- Valid Driver's License
- Possess OR obtain:
- Missouri Firefighter I Certification
- Missouri Firefighter II Certification
- Medical First Responder (MFR) Certification
- Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Awareness Certification
- Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Operations Certification
- Missouri Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license, or higher
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
- EMT-I/Paramedic:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- EMT-I/Paramedic:
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certifications:
- NIMS-100 ? Introduction to Incident Command Systems (ICS)
- NIMS-200 ? ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
- NIMS-700 ? Introduction to NIMS
