The Position
Alene Candles is seeking a Business Analyst. You will be on the ground floor of emerging technologies and learn from staff with years of experience. You will have the chance to work with all aspects and levels of the organization within your daily duties and special projects.
The Location
This position can be located at either Alene Candles locations (Milford, NH or New Albany, OH). This position is also open for remote work; you will need to be able to travel onsite a few times a year as business needs require.
Additional Job Details
- Act as a liaison between various business teams and IT to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Analyze system performance, identify gaps, and propose enhancements for manufacturing and business systems (ERP+CRIMs, EDI, SFC, etc.).
- Work with user community to identify improvement initiatives; evaluate and prioritize based on value to business and steer project through full solution.
- Support implementation, configuration, and maintenance of technology platforms supporting manufacturing and business operations.
- Gather and document technical requirements for process improvements and new system initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis on system issues and provide timely resolution.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity, cybersecurity, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams on system upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in a technical or business analyst role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Knowledge of ERP, SFC, or manufacturing IT systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex technical and operational data.
- Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and system integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
- Experience with IFS, ShopVue, or other enterprise software platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and APIs.
- Experience working in manufacturing operations.
- Creating process models, data flow diagrams, and use case documents.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Learn new technologies and processes towards a forward-thinking organization.
- Data analysis tools and Business Intelligence platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work across departments.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
