Payroll Analyst

Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY
Employment Type: Permanent | Onsite
Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000


Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization in Jamaica, Queens is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage, process, and analyze payroll data with precision and efficiency. This role ensures that all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in handling end-to-end payroll functions within a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
  • Calculate pay based on hours worked, including overtime, leave, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Manage payroll deductions, taxes, and other withholdings accurately.
  • Process payments on schedule, either through checks or direct deposits.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including rate changes and employee status updates.
  • Prepare and issue payroll statements, invoices, and related reports.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax laws.
  • Stay current with changes in tax and deduction regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Human Resources and Accounting teams.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar payroll or HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Strong proficiency with ADP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for resolving payroll-related issues.


Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems is required.
